HOW DOES IT WORK?
For pigmentation - the light is absorbed by the melanin in the pigmented area and the heat reaction effect, breaks down the melanin. Excess melanin turns darker before it comes away from the skin.
For redness - light is absorbed by the superficial blood vessels, creating heat that coagulates blood vessels
For anti-ageing - light creates heat in the skin, encouraging the production of collagen, which helps to fill in lines and wrinkles.

WHAT IS MELASMA?
Melasma is a skin condition recognised by its distinct dark patches on the skin due to excessive melanin pigment production. These patches often appear on the cheeks, lip area, and forehead, and is caused by either sun exposure, or hormonal changes. It is very common in Asian skin, especially after pregnancy.
HOW DOES THIS TREATMENT WORK?
It works by transmitting heat from the IPL laser light through to the pigmented areas. The light is attracted to melanin in the cells, effectively drawing melanin to the surface of the skin.

Facial thread veins or broken red veins are small and unsightly superficial red, purple, or blue veins that occur around the nose, cheeks, and chin. These broken veins occur when the vein dilates and becomes larger. Although facial veins and spider veins are quite common, they can be distressing for those who have them.

HOW DOES THIS TREATMENT WORK?
IPL emits light which is absorbed by blood vessels, heating them to a point where they are destroyed. Following the treatment, the vessels quickly clear as they are absorbed by the body, leaving little or no trace of the original lesion.

This IPL laser acne treatment destroys the most common bacteria that causes acne - without drugs. It is extremely effective on moderate inflammatory acne. IPL uses light that is UV-safe and has no known side effects. Treatment is available for the face and body.
The treated area can become quite red immediately after treatment, but this usually disappears after a few hours. Most people experience no other side effects, but very rarely a small blister could form on the skin, or the skin may become temporarily lighter or darker.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
The light emitted directly targets overactive glands, greatly reducing the total number and severity of active lesions, and lessening the inflammation and occurrence of breakouts. The light stimulates the production of new collagen to improve skin texture, and can also reduce the appearance of red or brown areas of skin that are often associated with acne breakouts.

Almost everyone can be treated, apart from very dark skinned or tanned individuals. If you are pregnant or taking Roaccutane (an acne medication), it is best not to undergo this treatment.
